Experimental and numerical simulation on buried hot fuel oil pipelines in three modes flow regime considering temperature loss during a shutdown

Aiming to study the temperature distribution along buried pipelines containing hot fuel oil, a new large-scale laboratory is constructed from perspective of corresponding fluid thermophysical properties. Also, modeling pipe-line, and soil around it, was performed pipeline for observation all three modes turbulent, laminarization, laminar flow, which validated by experimental results. Furthermore, appropriate data are also gathered actual pipeline, 107 km 26? between Abadan Refinery Mahshahr Port, results experiment reconfirmed. The shows that viscosity density oil strongly temperature-dependent. Many experiments on parameters affected according their importance. method chosen simulate flow less than 2% error in turbulent zones reveals just 3% region. maximum safe time during stopping period pipe-line holding it calculated based pour point oil. This critical real sudden shutdown 41 hours.
